Technical notes & limits

  • Adds a visible signature only. It doesn’t create a certificate-based digital signature or verify who signed.
  • Saving makes the signature part of the page and breaks any existing digital signatures.

Visible signature vs. digital certificate

Sign PDF places your drawn, typed, or uploaded signature onto the page. That’s how most everyday agreements, forms, and approvals get signed. It does not attach a certificate-based digital signature (X.509), a trusted timestamp, or an identity audit trail. If you need those, use a dedicated e-signature service.

Getting it on the line

Use the page selector at the top to jump to the signature page. Add your signature, initials, or date, then drag each one until it sits neatly on its line.
