Split PDF in your browser

Only need a few pages from a big document? Type the pages or ranges you want, like a chapter, an exhibit, or the signed page, and you’ll get a smaller PDF with only those pages. Everything happens on your device.

  • Mix single pages and ranges, like 1-3, 7, 10-14, in any order.
  • Your document never leaves your device.
  • Text stays sharp and pages keep their original size.
  • You get one clean PDF that’s ready to share.

How to use Split PDF

  1. Choose the PDF you want to split.
  2. Type the pages or ranges to keep, for example 1-4, 8, 12-15.
  3. Click Extract pages and download your new PDF.

Technical notes & limits

  • Page numbers must exist in the source document.
  • All your ranges go into one output PDF, not one file per page. The 100 MiB and 120-second limits apply.

How the split works

When you enter page numbers, the tool reads your PDF and copies only those pages into a new file, in the order you typed them. If you list the same page twice, it only shows up once.

Tips for long reports and manuals

Use the page number your PDF viewer shows, not the number printed in the footer. Cover pages and Roman-numeral front matter often throw the two out of sync. Open the new file afterward to make sure every page you wanted made it in.

Frequently asked questions

Does splitting create a separate file for every single page?

No. Every page and range you enter goes into one new PDF, in the order you typed them.

Can I select nonconsecutive pages like page 2, page 5, and pages 9 to 12?

Yes. Type 2, 5, 9-12 and those exact pages will be pulled into a single PDF.

Does splitting modify my original PDF file?

No. Your original file isn’t touched. The browser creates a separate copy with just the pages you picked.
