Terms of Service
Terms for using the free browser-based PDF tools, including document ownership, output review and acceptable use.
Last updated: 4 November 2026
- You retain 100% ownership of all source documents and exported PDF outputs.
- Free to use in your browser with no account registration or subscription.
- Always keep original files and inspect exported documents before relying on them.
Using the service
These terms apply to your use of InBrowserPDF.app. Use the service only when you can accept these terms under applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use it. The current tools are available without an account or payment.
Process documents you own or have permission to handle. Do not use the service to infringe rights, forge another person’s signature, distribute malicious material or interfere with the website.
Your files and responsibility
You retain ownership of your documents and outputs. Selecting a file does not transfer document ownership to this service. The application processes files locally and does not provide cloud document storage, backup or recovery.
Keep original files. Review every exported result before using or sharing it. Edits, page copying, compression, flattening, redaction and format conversion may remove or change document features, including forms, bookmarks, accessibility structure and existing signatures.
Limits of the tools
A visible signature is not a certificate-based digital signature or identity-verification service. Unlocking requires a valid password, which may be empty for a PDF that already opens without a prompt. The app does not recover unknown opening passwords. OCR and AI output may contain mistakes. AI summaries are not a substitute for reading and checking the source.
Office conversions have the limits explained on their tool pages. PDF/A sample validation does not certify every future output. Repair cannot reconstruct bytes that are missing, and visual comparison does not inspect every hidden document property.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as available and as is, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every document, a specific file-size reduction, or error-free output. Device memory, browser support and public asset downloads affect availability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on unchecked results, lost originals, interrupted jobs or unsupported document features. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
Features and these terms may change. Material changes will be reflected in the published terms. Contact support@inbrowserpdf.app about these terms. No specific governing jurisdiction is asserted here, and mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
