Crop PDF in your browser
Trim extra white space, hide printer crop marks, or focus a page on one chart or table. Draw a box around the part you want to keep, check it on the live preview, and save. Your file never leaves your device.
- Draw and adjust the crop box right on the page.
- Trim big margins or zoom in on a single figure.
- Your document stays on your device the whole time.
- Add text, highlights, or page numbers in the same editor.
How to use Crop PDF
- Open your PDF (Crop is already selected) and choose a page.
- Drag across the page to frame the area you want to keep.
- Check the result and click Save edited PDF.
Technical notes & limits
- Cropping hides content outside the box but doesn’t delete it from the file.
- To remove sensitive content for good, use Redact PDF, which turns pages into images and strips hidden content.
Important: cropping does not hide secrets
Cropping only changes which part of the page a viewer shows. Everything outside the box is still in the file, and anyone can undo the crop to see it. Never use Crop PDF to hide confidential information. Use Redact PDF for that.
Crop one page at a time
Each crop applies to the page you have selected. That way you can trim a scanned receipt or a wide chart without cutting off text on other pages.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping permanently delete text outside the crop box?
No. Cropping only changes what’s visible. The hidden text is still in the file. Use Redact PDF if you need it gone for good.
Can I remove a crop adjustment before saving?
Yes. Find the crop in the Page edits list on the right and click Remove.
Can I crop a single page without affecting other pages?
Yes. Pick the page from the Page menu, draw your box, and only that page changes.
